Plenhyage XL is an innovative injectable skin treatment developed by Bioformula. Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers, it uses polynucleotides (PDRNs). These are the building blocks of protein, which in turn, activates cell functions that promotes hyaluronic acid synthesis, boosting collagen production, and stimulating fibroblast growth. As such, Plenhyage XL improves skin quality, thickness, and hydration while promoting collagen formation.

Plenhyage XL’s primary active ingredient is a 2% concentration of high molecular weight polynucleotides. It is specifically polymerized polynucleotides (PDRN) derived from salmon sperm DNA through a cruelty-free extraction process.

It’s important to note that the product is derived from, but not actually composed of, salmon sperm. The DNA fragments are extracted through a process that doesn’t harm the salmon, involving techniques like abdominal massaging. These fragments are then filtered, purified, and sterilized to create an injectable product.

Salmon DNA was chosen due to its compatibility with human biology. The resulting polymerized polynucleotides (PDRN) differ from standard polynucleotides, which contain both DNA and RNA. PDRN offers structural support and potentially longer-lasting effects. This careful extraction and processing method results in a safe, biocompatible product that retains the beneficial properties of the salmon DNA while being suitable for human use.

Polymeric macromolecules result in an immediate “scavenger” action against free radicals. The chemical structures of the nitrogenous ring on the polynucleotides immediately reacts with free radicals, which neutralises them. When the polynucleotides molecule is being degraded by the body's own enzymes, smaller particles which retain the same properties as the whole Polynucleotide molecule.
